History

The Comstock Park Educational Foundation (CPEF) was founded in 1986 by
a group of volunteer parents and community members who cared about the
quality of educations of students throughout the Comstock Park Public
Schools District. The CPEF works independently to raise money and then
distributes funds in the form of grants. These grants are made possible
through fund-raisers, donations and memorial contributions. Money raised
from our annual fund raiser “Hacking for Education” Golf Outing/Silent
Auction (Scott Lake Country Club), Spring Flower Sale (Saenz Farms
and Greenhouse), and other contributions are used to finance a variety
of expenditures not included in the schools general operating budget.

The money raised by the CPEF benefits students throughout the district
through the Teacher’s Grant Program, Administrator’s Endowment Grants,
Student Scholarships for College and other Special Projects.

High School Seniors have the opportunity to earn scholarships based on
the answers they provide to questions on our “Spirit of Volunteerism”
Scholarship applications.

Teachers or administrators submit grant applications detailing projects
they would like to implement. After reviewing the application, based on
CPEF guidelines, the board of trustees will fund or deny the request,
generally based on how many students and for how many years the request
will enhance the educational opportunities of students throughout the
district's six buildings.

100% of every gift stays in Comstock Park. Every gift makes a difference.

CPEF is an independent 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
